Express Bus

NOTE: The Robertson Express bus's fall service will resume on a limited schedule on Tuesday, August 25, picking up passengers from Duke on the half-hour and from UNC-CH on the hour. Full service (please see schedule below) will begin on Monday, August 30.

The purpose of the Robertson Express Bus is to facilitate cooperation between Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The bus is available, free of charge, for members of both university communities. We would like to encourage you to take advantage of the educational, cultural and social offerings on both campuses.

Buses depart from and arrive at Duke (Chapel Circle Stop) and UNC-Chapel Hill (Morehead Planetarium Stop). This express bus makes no stops between Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill.

One way, the trip is scheduled for 30 minutes: 28 minutes travel time with a 2-minute turnaround at the Chapel Circle or the Morehead Planetarium stop.

Bus Schedule: August 30, 2010 - April 27, 2011

All times listed are departure times.

*Reduced Service: On weekdays when only one campus is in session or classes do not meet, the bus departs hourly from each campus--from Duke on the half-hour and from UNC-CH on the hour.

Dates for reduced service: September 6, October 9-12, October 21-25, December 8-20, January 17, April 22

The bus does not run when both campuses are closed. This includes, Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks: November 24-28, December 20-January 10, March 5-13
